About The Experience

Conducted across two venues, ‘Textures of Remembering’ was an immersive workshop led by Seema Kohli that invited participants to engage with memory as a sensory and embodied experience. Moving away from linear notions of recollection, the workshop approached memory as something lived in the present, shaped through touch, smell, sound, sight, and emotion.

Participants were encouraged to bring fragments of their personal histories—letters, diaries, natural elements, or objects carrying intimate significance. Through guided processes, these materials became catalysts for reflection and artistic exploration. The workshops evolved into shared spaces of exchange, where individual narratives intertwined, forming a collective landscape of remembrance.

By transforming memory into something tactile and experiential, Kohli created an environment where sensing became a powerful means of understanding the self and connecting with others.
