Tree of Life - Aradhnareshwar, Bronze, 27” Inche ht x18” Inch dia, 2016
I see Tree of Life in the form of Aradhnareshwar. The display of the continous balance of energies is there in nature. It gives us the basic principales of existence with equality. When I was visiting Bali the entrence of each house was greeted with a masculine and a feminine piller, expressing the balanced flowof energy. I romantacise the idea of this constant play of energy recreating this universe and many more around us. A few years back I wrote a few verses on the balance of energies. Here they are.
The Ardhanarishawar –
not some hybrid creature, but man and woman united as symbols who complete the circle and the cycle of life.
Conditioned by roles, perhaps… The man, keeper of the skies, king of the universe, a symbol of strength.
The woman, domestic goddess, the nurturer, queen of the world, a symbol of all that is gentle and good.
But the woman, terrible in her wrath, a destroyer of worlds, just like Shiva, the tandav dancer, tender lover.
Not one without the other.
A complete circle of harmony.
Aligned with nature.
Nature itself.
Now benign, now harsh, now terrible.
Nature. Nurturer.
These are my stories
